Why I built MyPreOp.ai

I'm Dennis — a CRNA practicing in Miami since 2012. I built MyPreOp.ai because I kept watching the same scene: a chart looks clean on paper, the patient arrives for surgery, and something gets caught at the bedside that should have been flagged two weeks earlier. The case cancels, the OR sits empty, and the patient goes home.

Most pre-op platforms are built by software teams. This one was built by a clinician. Every decision is grounded in ASA, ACC/AHA, and ASRA guidelines — the same evidence I rely on for my own cases. It isn't a substitute for clinical judgment. It's a second set of clinical eyes on every patient — and it isn't here to replace any of us. It's here to take the work that drains us off our plate, so we can spend that time with the patient instead of the chart.

Now we're going one step further. Every clearance auto-populates the Pre-Op evaluation form — the same one you'd be hand-writing on the morning of surgery. By the time the patient is in front of you, the chart is already filled in. You verify it with them, assess the airway, confirm NPO, pregnancy, drug screen, and vitals — and sign. No sloppy handwriting. No re-typing what's already in the record. Just more time with the patient.
